Brook has counseled hundreds of individuals and families regarding genetic testing options for the past 15 years. She has a passion for helping families living with neurodegenerative disorders. Prior to joining Synapticure in 2022, she worked as a genetic counselor at SIU Medicine, with a focus on neurogenetics and cardiomyopathies. She also has experience working in several genetic testing laboratories and worked with the Illinois Department of Public Health Newborn Screening Program to implement screening for lysosomal storage disorders. She resides in Springfield, Illinois with her husband and four children.
